Cruisin' Away to the Bahamas

So as well as going to Orlando, we decided to take a little 4 day cruise to the Bahamas before we headed back home. We found a cheap deal going with Royal Caribbean. And ever since we told Alyssa, she couldn't stop talking about going on the big plane and the big boat. The room was small, but we made it. The boat was called Sovereign of the Seas, and they had their 20 year re-christening while we were sailing.

At times Alyssa was a challenge, but when is she not trying to be adventurous and doing something different.

On day ONE, we head to Coco Cay, Bahamas--Royal Caribbean's privately owned island. Alyssa loved playing on the beach and in the water. Bridger was a little unsure about the cold water, and the rest of us loved being on the beach, laying out and chillin'.

Day TWO we headed to the main island of the Bahamas. We decided to go to the Ardastra Gardens, Zoo & Conservation. We saw many tropical birds, some monkeys, some big cats, and some other random animals. I think Alyssa's favorite part was the Flamingo's. They have a Flamingo march twice a day, we missed the first one by half hour and didn't want to stay until the next one.

Day THREE- A Day on the Boat. We tried laying out on the Lido Deck. It was very windy, which made it a little chilly. The next day we woke up early and headed for home.

It felt good to be home, other that we were back to the snow and freezing cold weather. But home is home and we all missed out beds.
